These workshops are inspired by James Baldwin’s sheer honesty, the wisdom of Black radicals, adrienne maree brown’s Emergent Strategy, Octavia Butler’s Afrofuturism, and Ursula K. Le Guin’s speculative fiction. They honour these ancestors, and our own, who in so many ways have already paved the way for us.
